Kristian Falden World of Butterflies wallpaper

Kristian Falden World of Butterflies is a custom-fit wallpaper in which butterflies, flowers, fruit and leaves gather in rich garlands around draped textiles. Kristian Falden's experimental graduation project brings together hand painting, digital composition and textiles. The technique brings out the motif's tones, lines and material character with unusual clarity. The scale gives the wall a confident presence, while the detailed treatment keeps the design rewarding at close range. It creates a considered view that feels integrated with the architecture of the room rather than applied as a separate piece of decoration.

This wallpaper is especially well suited to a living room, bedroom or creative workspace. It gives the room a distinct identity and helps connect different colours and materials. The overall effect works with both contemporary and more traditional interiors because its expression rests on an authentic sense of handwork, balanced composition and Boråstapeter's assured handling of colour. A layered interior can grow around the motif, allowing wood, linen, wool and restrained metal surfaces to play distinct supporting roles. The result feels individual while remaining easy to live with over time.
